Wuthering Waves 2.0 and PlayStation Port Coming in January 2025

Wuthering Waves 2.0, the newest instalment of the hit mobile gacha launches version 2.0 and a Playstaiton5 version on 2 January 2025.

Kuro Games is about to bring the latest version of its hit mobile adventure to a whole new audience soon. The open-world RPG is set to unleash its biggest update yet, a new story, and new backdrops. The news drops shortly after a Best Mobile Game nomination at the Game Awards and is accompanied by a brand new trailer for the epic new update.

The announcement video is fronted by Dong, Senior Producer, and is part message to fans and part teaser trailer. It’s a reminder of the events that led up to the present version 1.4 update and prepares us to, hopefully, find out who Rover really is. The new version will leave the black Shores behind, taking the gamer to an entirely new land, Rinascita.

Ragunna is a vibrant city-state famous for its carnivals. Watched over by a few powerful families, art, drama, and creativity flourish here. If the teaser animation is correct then the newest region draws on classic high fantasy inspiration, with a port city that’s a bustling hub for plenty of activities.  A secret also seems to await, but I’ll let you watch the announcement video to find out more.

The news also confirmed that the PlayStation 5 version of Wuthering Waves will drop at the same time as this launch. This brings Rover and company to PC, mobiles, and PlayStation consoles. Wuthering Waves is an immersive action-adventure game that takes players on a journey through an anime-inspired world. They can guide protagonist Rover through an ongoing adventure to reclaim lost memories and overcome the mysterious phenomenon known as the Lament. Blending an open world, an engaging narrative, puzzles, and at least some gacha, this free-to-play should be on your list if you’re a fan of HoYo’s library. Check out more on Wuthering Waves on the official website now.
