X.D. Network Heads Far Away With Stunning New Visual Novel

X.D. Network and HongCha Games are about to take us on a trip with some stunning views in Far Away, a brand new visual novel.

Coming soon to PC and mobile platforms Far Away has just been unveiled by X.D. and HungCha. The very first title out of HungCha’s studio Far Away is a beautifully animated tale that plunges players into the harbour city of Bedjan. Playing as Krosa Nonet, anybody picking up Far Away will find themselves drawn into a whirlpool of events that sweeps the protagonist from the life of a simply bay worker into a web of deceit and lies. Players will need to find clues, explore perspectives on the same timeline and piece together the mysteries of Bedjan against the backdrop of a city filled with corruption across a huge variety of dozens of encounters.

As you pick your way through the various options involved in Far Away, there are over 500,00 words and 8 distinctly different storylines to experience. This narrative is backed by some impressive animated and musical pieces from several of the team that brought the hugely successful mobile titles Shadowverse & Arknights to life.

“As a studio, we wanted to create rich interactive storytelling. Videos were too simple and limited our ability to express ideas.” says Lead Producer, HJL Misaki. “We’re excited to take visual novels to a whole new level. It’s allowed us to achieve our ideas and express emotions and actions that unfold in a unique way, in a world filled with secrets, danger, and alternative endings.”

If you’re not convinced that this visual novel is worth your time, check out the trailer above and head over to the official Far Away Steam Store page to take a look at an impressive entry with a wealth of promise from this newly formed studio, before it arrives on PC and mobile.
