Xbox Briefing at E3 2018

It’s time for the second day of E3 conferences and the team at Gamesapce are ready to give you the updates as they happen. Coming up, Microsoft is aiming to wow the audience with a conference that generally has more fan favor than EA’s offering. Last year, Microsoft unveiled the Xbox One X, State of Decay 2, and Dragon Ball Fighters Z. We’re going to be updating you as things break.

Please do refresh this page regularly. We will be adding all the highlights as fast as they come out.

Halo Infinite

The Xbox Briefing began and on the second day of E3 2018 the first game to splash onto the big screens at the Microsoft Theatre was Halo Infinite. Billed as Master Chief’s greatest adventure yet, it comes around 3 years after Halo 5’s release. We got little more than that but the Slipstream engine makes what little we saw was stunning.

Ori and the Will of the Wisps

The next of the announcements for this year’s Xbox Briefing is a brand new game form the team behind Ori. A sequel to the gorgeous 2.5 D platformer once again will find players running, jumping, and flying through an amazing looking world. New protagonists, a new combat system, and huge new adversaries are all in this great looking new title. The game will be coming to the xbox store although we weren’t able to spot a date on the presentation.

Sekiro Shadows Die Twice

Next on the rosters for the XBox Briefing is a slight change in tone. Set in what appears to be feudal Japan, an undead warrior wakes up to find his former master under threat. FIlled with souls esque challenges, this looks like a cross between Nioh, Dark Souls, and Aragami. If you love Souls style challenges with lots of ninja skills,  then Skiro will be with us in 2019.

Fallout 76

An update from Tom Howard of Bestheda followed the opening barrage, with the explosive title that drove the internet to watch an empty office for days at a time. Yep, Fallout 76 got a little close with the XBox Briefing.

This prequel to the rest of the Fallout franchise is a stunning new Fallout game, set in the hills of Virginia. The world of Fallout 76 challenges players to rebuild the world, after the fall of civilization and looks like a lot of game for you buck. The game is four times the size of the all the other Fallout games and is available to pre order on June 15th via the Xbox Store.

Captain Spirit

From the Creators of Life is Strange, comes a free game, for the next Xbox introduction. Published by Square Enix and Dontnod the adventures of Captain Spirit will appear in the online store on June 26th. This charming-looking title explores the imagination of Chris. Raised by his father, Chris will take players to a new world of exploration and monsters. This looks like it will be as utterly engrossing as Life is Strange and it’s not far away.

Crackdown 3

Crackdown 3, the long-teased title got another airing at E3. This time we got to see a bit of the massive vertical gameplay, the bright neon world, and the ridiculous battles. Will this turn out to be a bombastic open-world shooter or Sumo Digital’s Agents of Mayhem. Only time will tell.

Nier Automata

Blink and you’ll miss it, Nier Automota is coming to Xbox. This Xbox Enhanced edition of the absolutely incredible title will be with us on June 26th. If you’ve not had a chance to get it on PlayStation 4 or PC then you should check it out when it lands soon.

Metro Exodus

Crammed on the edge of the world in a  desolate world, Metro Exodus is ready to take players on a post apocalyptic shooting frenzy. If you think that February  2019 is going to be busy, then  you’d be right. Metro Exodus is due for release on 22nd Feb, just like Anthem. Good luck with your sleep and thanks 4A Games.

Kingdom Hearts

This is the first time Kingdom Hearts Three is coming to Xbox and what can I say, expect more of the same. A whole host of Disney Characters are on show here. Else and the Frozen Universe, Tangled, Toy Story, Monsters Inc, as well as the normal stalwarts of the Kingdom Hearts series will be ready to take us all on a magical adventure come January 29th 2019.

The Division 2

That’s right, America is still in a post apocalyptic nightmare and the only people that can stand against the darkness are the agents of the Division. If you loved the first round of Ubisofts near future shooter then  things are about to get a whole lot more interesting as the latest iteration in this franchise hits Xbox on 15 March 2019

Session

For all of you millennials that grey up with Tony Hawkes, me included, Creature Studios revealed a new teaser for a skate title that could see us grinding our way back in time. Session’s teaser is short and to the point. This promises to be a no nonsense affair that focuses on the skating.

Black Desert

We all knew it was happening. The MMORPG team have been telling us forever to expect it. Now Black Desert is coming to Xbox. The Beta starts this fall and you can take on one of the MMO industry’s best combat systems with your friends soon.

Devil May Cry 5

Just as I was waning, pulverized by the number of games on show something unexpected happened. After 10 years, Dante appeared and captured, my heart all over again. Capcom are bringing back their very own bad boy and it looks like more of the same. Demons, severed demons, eviscerated demons, and Dante looking badass. Get ready for Devil May Cry 5 in spring 2019.

Battletoads

In an unexpected twist, the 90s are back. Battletoads announced the return of the mean green shelless machines. The Rare title is bringing us a whole new dose of this cult favorite. It’s likely that the game will differ massively from its original beat em up format, what with all the power of the Xbox behind it. The Microsoft trailer didn’t make many commitments, but it’s bound to be a different diversion from Rare’s current Sea of Thieves.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider

Lara Returns, again. This dark take on the new Tomb Radier gets a reveal and we got a hands on preview. Check it out now.

The Remaining Masterpieces

The Xbox Briefing was great news for gamers. There were a ton of fantastic games, but that means covering everything that went on is a huge task. While we get you all the best of the news here is every other game announced during the evening in the Microsoft Theatre
