Forget Black Friday deals, the Xiaomi G24i gaming monitor is available across the UK, US, and Europe now.
Chinese lifestyle brand Xiaomi has unleashed the G24i budget gaming monitor to global stores. After an initial reveal earlier this year, the new display is now available to buy across Amazon US, and official storefronts in the EU and UK. Coming in at around €119,99 / £89.99 / $129.99 the mix of a high refresh rate, allow response time, and a small hit to your wallet could see it on desktops soon.
While the G24i isn’t set to compete with 4K gaming displays, this desktop option does have a solid set of specifications for budget gaming. The 1920 x 1080 display resolution, HDMI, and Display port connectivity makes it a great companion to entry level rigs, docked decks that don’t want to run at 4K, and consoles. With 180hz refresh rate and a reported 1ms response time, it won’t blow away the top end esports monitors but will suffice for anybody wrestling with mid-tier LoL aspirations. Specifications also bundle in AMD FreeSynch compatibility and HDR support, although a peak 250 nits brightness suggests this won’t be eye popping. Color and calibration are consistently good on other Xiaomi monitors I’ve tested, and 99% sRGB coverage should provide a great picture on this IPS LCD display.
Aesthetically, the new G24i isn’t as garish as the recent G Pro 27i W-LED display and will likely fit most desktop arrangements. The three-sided bezel free design and unicolor shell make this less of a standout and more of a budget win for anybody looking to get gaming without breaking the bank.
