Yaga’s Action Blacksmithing Is Taking Pre Orders Now

Yaga, the charming action RPG, coming form publisher Versus Evil, is now open for pre-orders before it hits PC and Console in November.

Due to deliver a twisted tale of Slavic folk tales, a motley crew of underworld monsters, and a one-armed blacksmith this November, Yaga is an utterly charming ARPG that simply stood out when it first hit our inbox. Coming to the Epic Games Store, Nintendo Switch, PS4, and Xbox One this adventure follows Ivan, a one-handed blacksmith who clearly didn’t hang his horseshoes the right way up. His incredibly bad luck finds him given an almost impossible series of tasks to complete by the Tzar. It’s up to you to help Ivan survive as he is forced to face off against a series of nefarious monsters, all inspired by Slavic folk tales. Even worse for him, the witch Baba Yaga watches over Ivan’s fate for better or worse.

As is the normal fate of all modern ARPGs, Yaga unveils a range of rogue-like mechanics as the layer crawls through a range of scenarios. You’ll face a range of Slavic folktales, all culminating in a multitude of possible endings. DOn’t worry there’s plenty of ways to fell your foes in this adventure. As a Blacksmith, Vian can set forth into these situations with a variety of weapons, all thanks to Yaga’s deep crafting system. Forge lightning hammers and hookshot pitchforks to smelt your foes.

The unusual Romanian hip-hop soundtrack and utterly charming animation do, however, make Yaga stand out from the crowd. After the recent launch of title’s like Pillars of Eternity: Deadfire by Versus Evil, we’re pretty sure this title is likely to find an audience.

“Yaga’s unique mix of traditional rogue-like and RPG mechanics, combined with its eye-catching art makes it a game that’s hard to put down. Presenting an ARPG within the rich Slavic folklore and exploring the history it represents is another distinguishing factor to Yaga. We can’t wait for gamers to play Yaga this November.” Said Steve Escalante, General Manager of Versus Evil.”
