Yolk Heroes: A Long Tamago hatches A Launch Date

Yolk Heroes: A Long Tamago will birth a different type of hero across Pac and mobile on 30 April.

Indie studio 14 has announced that its heroic Tamagotchi style sim is set to launch on 30 April 2024. Coming to PC and mobiles, this new twist on the old school pet simulator has been growing in scope since it first crossed the new desk last year, and now it’s brining a few extras. The full release of Yol Heroes won’t just bring a new generation of hero to the world. It is set to do it in, almost, full color.

Taking on the role of a Guardian Spirit, players taking on this adorable title will find themselves with a regal quest. The Fairy Queen has made you responsible for raising elf heroes to defend the realm. With the Dark Lord on the horizon, it is imperative that your young warriors are able to beat back the darkness and complete epic training montages.

Mixing RPG systems in among digital pet sim ideas, Yolk Heroes starts with an egg. After protecting it from predators, the weather, and unfortunate events you’ll get a wannabe hero. This hatchling needs to be fed, watered, kept safe from itself, and trained in a range of skills. Queue up tasks, take an idle approach to your protégé’s study or training. Then send them out into the wild to explore, overcome enemies, and not die a merciless death to some troll.

Making the original concept even more adorable, there are now over 30 color palettes are available to customize your quest. Plunge your world into an icy frost with the Winter palette, take on the Frog Lord with the menacing Slasher palette, or wind down for the day with the Sunset palette. With these 30+ color presets, players can create a realm to match any aesthetic. You can check out the trailer to get a glance at the choices.

Yolk Heroes: A Long Tamago arrives on Steam, Google Play, iOS, and itch.io on 30 April. Check out more on the official website or head to the Steam Store to wishlist it now.
