Yomawari: The Long Night is Coming to Terrorize Your Switch

Back in 2015, or the year 2 Before Switch, NIS unleashed a dark little masterpiece for the PlayStation Vita and PC. Now Yamowari: The Long Night Collection is about to terrorize gamers all over again, on the Nintendo Switch.

Due out on 30 October in NA, 26 October in the EU, and 2 November in AUS, The Long Night Collection brings together both Yomawari: Night Alone and its sequel, Yomawari: Midnight Shadows, to a whole new group of gamers. Developer Nippon Ichi is more likely to be associated with the Disgaea series of strategy games, but don’t let that mislead you. This cute chibi adventure is an absolute monster.  Both of these twisted tales are a deeply unsettling experience, casting a young protagonist out into the night. As players search through an unsettlingly familiar town, the encroaching darkness hides a whole host of terrors. Yokai, vengeful whispers, and even centipede spirits lurk in the shadows. Only the desperate glow of a flashlight and the glow of the local vending machines provide any respite from these demons.

Exploring the streets, solving puzzles, and digging through the surrounding environment might allow you to make it until morning, but only after some truly traumatic scenes. The Yamowari series might seem like a cute isometric game, but it is deadly. If you are brave enough to tackle Yamowari: The Long Night Collection, you can out more at the official website.
