In a new developer video diary, Game Designer Craig Chapman talks about how swing mechanics are being overhauled in Golf Club 2019.
The new mechanics offer players a lot of cool information about what they’ve done right, but more importantly, about the things they have done wrong. The idea is to provide feedback so players can “learn from their mistakes”. This allows more flexibility and challenge.
Chapman goes into detail about how the “tempo” mechanic can affect back swing, down swing and swing plane. Fast or slow tempo can exacerbate the problems a player may experience while swinging the club. The further the tempo is from “perfect”, the more exaggerated the errors become.
