Youtube Celebrity Couple Meg Turney and Gavin Free are recovering after a terrifying ordeal that saw them hiding in their closet, calling 911 as a man searched through their home with a gun firing at least one round in their house. Ten minutes later the armed intruder was dead.
Late last month, Christopher Giles made an 11 hour drive and his phone was filled with notes suggesting his fondness for Meg Turney and dislike for Gavin Free. Upon not being able to find the couple Giles left encountering Austin Police Department on his way out.
Officers found Giles backing out of the driveway and ordered him to stop. Instead, they heard a single gunshot coming from the car. An officer returned fire. Giles was pronounced dead on the scene but it is still yet to be determined if he shot himself.
Meg Turney who was made famous through her video blogs on anime, relationship advice and her life plus Gavin Free who is the co-host of a YouTube video series of slow-motion videos sent out these messages this week on Twitter:
Thank y’all so, so much for each and every kind message today and a special thank you to the @Austin_Police for their quick response that night and their ongoing support during this difficult time. Heart you guys so much. ♥️
