Ys SEVEN Headed to PC with Big Improvements for Modern Play

XSEED Games has announced that it is bringing Ys SEVEN to PC later this summer. The game will be available on Steam, GoG and via the Humble Store.

Ys SEVEN

For those who don’t already know, the game comes from Nihon Falcom and it was the first in a series of ARPGs. It was originally released for PlayStation Portable (PSP) in 2010.

PC fans will find a lot to like in the new version including a number of important updates. Developers added modern system touches such as 60 fps frame-rates, plug-and-play controller compatibility, achievements and more.

Game features include:

  • three member battle party combat
  • change characters at will
  • 30 hours of game time
  • epic story

The updated game was the first title in the long-running action RPG series to reach a wide audience in the West. Additionally, it was the first title in this series to be developed from the ground up for console or handheld systems.

There’s no official site yet, so keep your eyes peeled on your favorite PC digital retailer’s site!

  1. Nice write up Suzie 🙂

I remember playing Y’s 3 on SNES when it launched. I also have the PSP version and it’s a fun game. Glad to see PC is getting this.
