The iconic YS franchise is back and it is coming to the Nintendo Switch. NIS America has announced that the newest Ys adventure, Lacrimosa of Dana, is due for release 26 June, 2018. in NA and 29 June in the EU.
This marks the latest Ys adventure since Memories of Celceta in 2013, and it finds Adol shipwrecked. With no memory of how he arrived on a mysterious island, he must set out on an adventure to rescue his fellow passengers and unravel the mystery of a blue-haired maiden. This particular Ys incarnation follows many of the usual Ys traditions, with plenty of party focused combat, lots of monsters to battle, and the same solid storytelling we’ve come to expect.
If you’ve not had a chance to experience Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana on PlayStation 4 or PS Vita, then you’ll also be in for a few new surprises as you get to control the enigmatic blue-haired maiden. We won’t ruin them all though, to find out more you can check out the official website.
