Ys X: Nordics Sails West During Fall 2024

NIS has just confirmed Ys X: Nordics is coming to PC, PlayStation, and Nintendo Switch platforms this Fall.

An iconic RPG name is coming back to Pc and consoles with a story so big it needs two heroes. Ys X: Nordics is set to continue the latest tale in the iconic Ys series, bringing players back into contact with Adol Christin and the proud pirate Karja Balta. Stuck in a mystical bind, these two must venture out into the unknown in an effort to undo the power of Mana and take control of their own individual fates.

Like any good RPG of this lineage, Ys X: Nordics find these two characters caught up in a situation that only they an overcome. Rather than simply fight through a mystical tower, like early Ys would have us do, these two have the much more problematic task of stopping two warring factions. The seafaring warriors known as the Normans and the enigmatic and seemingly immortal Griegr are both unique and challenging in their own way. Players must navigate the deep and challenging narrative to save the people of Obelia Gulf.

When things get beyond talking, players can utilize a cross action system. They can swap between controlling Adol and Karja independently or together, combining their unique strengths to overcome enemies, and build up a Revenge Gauge to unleash devastating attacks. While the power of Mana will allow players to unlock hidden secrets and overcome a range of obstacles, we’re most excited about the sailing.
You can check out the new trailer before you jump on board the sailing ship Sandras, or simply head over to the official website to find out more about a series that has managed a heap of impressive entries of late.
