Developer HoYoverse had been on hand for the Zenless Zone Zero Special Program dedicated to the upcoming update. Mark your calendars: Version 1.1 “Undercover R&B” arrives on August 14. The next chapter revolves around the New Eridu Public Security (N.E.P.S.), and both welcomes back some familiar faces like Zhu Yuan and Qingyi as well as introduce some new friends and rivals: Seth and Jane.

Here’s what we know about the upcoming characters:
- Qingyi is an officer of New Eridu Public Security and Zhu Yuan’s partner. She is an S-Rank Electric Stun character that can fit in a variety of different squads.
- Jane is an enigmatic Thiren woman that will be both a friend and a foe to watch out for. She is an S-Rank Physical Anomaly Agent.
- Seth (A-Rank Electric Defense) is a bright and cheerful young man that acts friendly and harmless… but when that doesn’t work, he’s not afraid to let his fists talk for him.
Additionally, there will be a new S-Rank Bangboo Officer Cui to further assist Proxies in battles. Besides narrative and playable character updates, players can enter combat against Nineveh directly by experiencing Hollow Zero’s new challenge mode, Inferno Reap. Meanwhile, N.E.P.S., located at Lumina Square, will also be open for players to explore.
