Zenless Zone Zero Is A Stylish New ARPG From Genshin Impact Developer

The team behind Genshin Impact just revealed a brand new ARPG and announced beta sign ups for Zenless Zone Zero.

While the HoYoverse continues to conquer the gaming market with massive mobile titles Genshin Impact and Honkai Impact Third, it seems that HoYoverse isn’t done yet. Wafter teasing Zenless Zone Zero lately, we now know a ton more detail about what to expect when the latest title from this bunch of Otakus arrives.

HoYoverse unveiled a new stylized urbanite ARPG last night, inviting players to jump into a world ruled by breaks in reality and twin personas. Moving away from Teyvat and its high fantasy lore, Zenless Zone Zero is set in the city of New Eridu. This seemingly up to date metropolis comes with its own set of problems. Moring traffic aside, it exists in the wake of its own apocalypse where incursions in reality threaten the last bastion of human civilization. HoYoverse describes these Hollows as a bubble that grow out of thin air, creating disordered dimensions where mysterious monsters dubbed the “Ethereal” roam.Players picking up the latest from HoYoverse will find themselves in the role of a “Proxy” — a special professional who guides people in their exploration of Hollows. A great many people want to enter the Hollows for their own various reasons. Whether it’s for profit, sentiment, or just curiosity, players will help them explore the Hollows, battle their enemies, or to achieve their goals.

An official website is already available to find out more about New Eridu and HoYoverse has also dropped a brand new gameplay trailer, which you can see above. From what we can gather, this is looking like it will be an instance based ARPG with plenty of free form combat and an anime style that doesn’t feel too far from Soulworker and other fully 3D adventures. If you’re as excited about the prospect of dipping into this urban sprawl as much as we are then beta sign ups are already open over at the official Zenless Zone Zero website.

After an early indoctrination into PC gaming, years adrift on the unwashed internet, running a successful guild, and testing video games, I turned my hand to writing about them. Now, you will find me squawking across a multitude of sites and even getting to play games now and then
