Zor: Pilgrimage of the Slorfs Is Coming To Early Access In August

Developer Righteous Hammer Games has just announced that its dark yet adorable deck builder Zor: Pilgrimage of the Slorfs is coming to early access in August.

Cute alien creatures are about to rely on your guidance, wisdom, and luck to make it through a cute but deadly environment as Zor: Pilgrimage of the Slorfs begins Steam Early Access on 30 August. The team behind this brand-new title just confirmed that players can expect to take charge of a pack of Slorfs, in a tabletop inspired turn-based adventure with an eye-catching color palette.

The Zors are an alien creature on a perilous journey to uncover the truth behind the star god Zor, and players picking up this grid-based quest will have to cross hex-grids using a deck of cards, collecting resources and attacking vicious enemies along the way. A huge variety of very alien looking environments await, with a ton of procedurally generated maps and unforgiving challenges.

While that might all sound straightforward, players must choose wisely. Zor provides over 100 cards to craft or upgrade, with each one being used to move, attack, and harvest resources on the board. Playing cards deplete the Slorf’s own food and water supplies, meaning you’ll need to keep an eye on these resources while watching the HP bar too.

With a solid looking progression and craft system bundled into the mix, this is looking like it might be a wonderful escape from the dark fantasy sword and board roguelikes that are all too common on the market. These loveable squishy Slorfs will come tumbling into Early Access on 30 August. Check out the trailer above or the official Steam Store for more.
