Urban action RPG Zenless Zone Zero is about to kick off the latest Version 1.4: A Storm of Falling Stars. New areas, new characters and story awaits, in addition to some pretty serious gameplay enhancements. But you know what it also means? It’s time to take a peek at what comes after, in Version 1.5 – and that means two brand-new Agents from a freshly revealed faction! Meet Astra Yao and Evelyn Chevalier. Will your Polychromers survive the united assault of Section 6 and Stars of Lyra?
Astra Yao – Ether Support
Move aside, Nicole, there’s a new star in town to welcome Proxies to her world and renew their definition! Astra Yao had been hinted at for a while now. Hawk-eyed Proxies could find her posters and ads plastered around Howl’s newspaper stand and all around Lumina Square. There’s also quite a bit of chatter going around her persona on the Inter-Knot, filled with rumors and mysteries.
It is also possible that she was the one remotely controlling the Bangboo in the “Virtual Battlefield Mayhem” event – unless it was Monica, as both their identities fit. Either way, Astra Yao is New Eridu’s most iconic celebrity and superstar who gave an enchanting performance during TGA 2024, singing in Cantonese. In fact, even the Proxy siblings are not immune to her charm – you can find Astra’s posters in the HDD room, and Fairy has a line refusing to buy her concert tickets.
She is slated to arrive in Zenless Zone Zero Version 1.5 as our very first limited S-rank Support. With her having an Ether element, does that mean the end of Nicole’s career? Stay tuned to find out.
Evelyn Chevalier – Fire Attack
Sidelining two of the OG in one go, going after both Nicole and Soldier 11? Can do! Hailing from the same faction as Astra Yao, Evelyn Chevalier is a sharp and decisive manager of the Stars of Lyra. She is unyielding and never leaves openings for a rebuttal. People, including other members of the Stars like Astra, have often wondered what she did before becoming a manager. Popular ideas include a detective and even a PubSec officer.
One thing certain, Evelyn is very good at what she does, and when everything else fails… These hands are rated “E” for “Everyone”, as proved by the trailer above, where someone got wrong ideas and Eve had to set them right.
Currently, we don’t know nearly as much about her compared to Astra Yao. Stay tuned for when HoYo is ready to release more info!
