Prepare Your Boarding Party For Marauders Early Access

Marauders, the dystopian looter shooter from Team17, launches into Early Access today.

Kicking off a round of extra terrestrial raids today, Marauders Early Access arrives via Steam.

Available via pre-order until the launch today, and coming crashing onto PC, Marauders has already got our attention with a debut at WASD in London and a series of beta events. Now you’ll be able to take to the harsh extremities of the solar system and shoot your way to success, probably.

Taking something of a Tarkov turn on the looter shooter genre, Marauders is a blend of hardcore run and gun with a dystopian dieselpunk tinged sci-fi setting. This is not your average arena experience. Plunging players into a universe where mass industrialization forced the human race out into the solar system a little earlier than we imagined, the scattered pockets of civilization are holed up in a range of industrial complexes, space stations, and dieselpunk inspired spacecraft that are a world away from the clean cultivated lines of Stat Trek.

With Earth’s resources at breaking point and a lawless outer rim, players can take up arms and become a Marauder. This first person experience fires players out into the vacuum, piloting a range of ships that can be used to attack and board space stations, industrial complexes, mining operations, and maybe even other ships. Getting past the flack cannons from other Marauders is only half the battle, when decamping to loot whatever’s inside these targets, marauders will have to gear up, upgrade on the fly, and loot what they can, then escape without getting picked off.

With a range of encounters, an unforgiving combat experience, space combat, and even upgradable ships, Marauders free form PvPvE gameplay has plenty of interesting ideas. If you’re quick enough to get a last minute pre-order in, then you can still grab a 10% discount on the initial Marauders Early Access price of £24.99 or the local equivalent for one of the most inventive concepts we’ve seen this year.
