Was This Year’s Gaming Award 2019 Theme Dynamic Duos!?

No, I am not just talking about Tyler and Jessica Blevins at this year’s gaming awards, though they looked great! I am talking about the nostalgic, the heroic and the fastest kind of dynamic duo’s that have graced some sort of screen in the past 30 years uniting every generation!

Starting with Beaker whom we all already knew is the most awesome duo with Dr. Bunsen Honeydew but then something magical with a honk happened!

The whole segment with this terrific trio injected a ton of fun and energy into the audience both there and around the globe as The Game Awards streamed in 50 countries for the first time and now I can’t stop hoping we do see an Untitled Beaker Game from Muppet Lab! Toward the end of the award show as we waited in anticipation for who would be announcing The Game Of The Year I don’t think anyone was prepared to see Vin Diesel and Michelle Rodriquez from the Fast and Furious movie series.

What really stood out for me (next to what seemed like a shy demeanor from Vin Diesel at first) was when he and Michelle traced fond memories of times spent playing games all night, claiming the gaming audience as “their people” because they are gamers BUT equally cool was the Vin Diesel mic drop with the Fast and Furious Crossroad announce!

We really got to share the night with a load of talented folk and afterward, something caught my Twitter eye which put the biggest smile on this gamers dial thanks to Ikumi Nakamura and Elon Musk.

Yes, Elon was there and had an awkward moment – that’s just Elon’s signature, however who he was sitting beside also made an impact!  Gaming’s sweetheart Ikumi Nukumara is being her charming, unfathomable self twitter-tweeting, rounding out why I think this year’s theme for the Game Awards was definitely “Dynamic Duo’s!” Go on Elon let Ikumi design the next Tesla, we double dare you!

Who was your favorite duo of the night?
