  • In Tomb Raider and Rise of the Tomb Raider, we saw Lara Croft go from a new untested adventurer to someone with a fair amount of experience sneaking into tombs and foiling Trinity’s plans. Now in Shadow of the T […]

  • Anamorphine is an interesting and touching story of what it’s like to be close to someone dealing with depression and having some real problems in life but being completely unable to help them. It’s a very tho […]

  • After playing the demo for Omensight at PAX East my hopes for this game were sky high. The action murder mystery concept seemed very different from most other games out there and I was a bit nervous when I started […]

  • Late last week the hack-n-slash dungeon crawler Dungeon Stars hit early release on Steam so I decided to jump in and check out what this game has to offer. Dungeon Stars really epitomizes the idea of gameplay […]

Another Indie game which surprised me at PAX East was Mothergunship; a bullet hell FPS where the player is trying to take out an alien fleet that’s taken over the world. Before you can assault the main ship, l […]

  • Moss is a charming and fun mixture of aspects of both Redwall and Neverending Story but also feels refreshingly fresh. Polyarc has managed to combine concepts from a lot of other VR games and make it all into one […]

  • One of the few upsides to having a long commute on the train everyday is I have dedicated time I can spend playing games on my 3DS. So even with everything else I can’t play those games on the train 😉

  • Etrian Odyssey V: Beyond the Myth is an incredibly interesting and challenging RPG both fans of hardcore games and a more casual player will both enjoy. There’s a lot of variability and room for customization in y […]

    • I was so tempted to buy but with Destiny 2 PC, Assassin’s Creed and Super Mario Odyssey all coming this week (or next) it’s just too much.

  • Ys VIII the Lacrimosa of Dana is an impressive and interesting addition to the JRPG series which offers a fun and engaging game from top to bottom. No matter if you have played the other Ys games before or not, […]

  • As a fan of both Rhythm games and RPGs, Metronomicon is a game which immediately grabbed my attention when I first saw it at PAX East in 2016. Now Metronomicon: Slay the Dance floor brings this fun and exciting […]

  • Pyre is the newest game from Supergiant Games and though it is a pretty big departure from their two previous games, Bastion and Transistor, it’s also clearly influenced by them. In this party based RPG S […]

  • Our Valkyria Revolution review was performed on the PS4 with a code provided by SEGA PR. The spin-off of the classic Valkyria Chronicles, Valkyria Revolution is an action RPG and is related to the Valkyria […]

  • Inner Chains isn’t your typical horror FPS game. There’s plenty of gore and all-around creepiness, but the pacing is much slower and more methodical than the often frenetic pace set in most other horror games. Jum […]

  • Regalia of Men and Monarchs is a tactical RPG in the same vein as classic JRPGs. The story is Prince Kay inherits an old rundown kingdom which is also suffering from a huge debt stretching back through the […]

  • What Remains of Edith Finch is a gripping surreal story which unfolds as Edith Finch explores the home where every member of her mother’s side of the family died. Going into the game I was expecting it to be a b […]
