I was cautiously optimistic towards The Division 2 after my time in its PC beta. It ran well enough, looked great, and had competent gunplay. After spending 13 hours in the final game, I am thoroughly […]

I’m not a newcomer to VR. I first tried out this tech in May 2016 when the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive hye was reaching its zenith. It was a series of experiences distilled into a roughly 13 minute demo consisting o […]
I was lucky enough to have a similar experience back when the Vive came out. I got VR mostly for Elite Dangerous, and to this day I find it the most incredibly immersive experience I can have, especially with a Hotas (and pedals, and subwoofers under my chair).
My children love playing Climbey and Job Simulator. I wish I could show it to my father, a civil engineer – unfortunately, he passed away before being able to witness this technology with his own eyes.
I have one note about the article: was writing “God” in lower case intentional? In context it’s not a word for a generic deity, it’s a given name.

In our review of the Radeon VII, Joseph Bradford did like the card while also stating,
“The question arises when you look at the whole picture of what the competition has to offer. The 1080 [T]i performs many o […]

There have only ever been three games which have completely blown me away with their graphics and visuals: most recently Battlefield V, last March’s Kingdom Come Deliverance, and perhaps most importantly, 2 […]

I was very lukewarm to The Division. I remember playing it and had some fun, but in the end, it simply couldn’t keep my interest. Despite all the updates it received, I never really felt the need to go back and p […]

Before I dive into the meat of this discussion, allow me to set up some context. It’s crucial to remember that the Anthem VIP demo is not representative of the final build. Moreover, I’ve never played a demo tha […]

I originally intended to write my initial impressions of AMD’s Radeon VII reveal and explain my frustration. I was planning on explaining why charging $699 for a product in 2019 which does not have any hardware r […]

It is hardly outlandish to state that Microsoft and Xbox had a justifiably rough start to this current console generation. Their console was underpowered compared to the PS4 (itself underpowered, but that’s an e […]
Ehm no. Ps4s ps now has much more costumers than the game pass. Sony will just move the ps4 games to ps now with ps5 and destroy the gamepass and any other nonsense service. The service is here bcuz they have nothing to offer in a short period of time. The One had not one big good game and next gen the gamepass will again just have good 360 games. The boss of Xbox…not spencer said tHat Singleplayer games are a trend and they will focus on twitch attractive games. Sony starts everytime slow but hits then hard. You guys should inform yourself before posting stuff like this. The xbox future is everything then bright.
And new gen is not a hard reset lol. It needs 1 to 3 years to make and feel the change. People will not delete their memory and then choose from new. People experienced this gen and saw wHat Microsoft is doing.

2018 was an interesting year in the industry. While we saw excellent titles like Red Dead Redemption 2, we also saw utterly broken products like Fallout 76, deceptive marketing, and the proliferation of terrible […]

There I was sat in some long abandoned gas station, locked in an Epic Dance Battle Of Wits with my buddy Brian. If either of us relented, he’d be labeled a craven. We dare not relent, for this dance battle was t […]

105 hours. That’s how long it took me to see the closing credits appear for Red Dead Redemption 2. I sat back, taking in the cathartic experience of the past month and a half. It seemed almost impossible that I h […]
Fortunately you had a positive experience with cenimatic mode. If you had had one of those things where your hose ran into something stupid and vaulted you 50 feet this would have just been another “Poorna bitches about glitchy games” article.
Really though, it is moments like that and the many other times that Arthur feels more like a real human than just a game character (my favorite is still drinking at the bar with Lenny) that make the bugs and glitches fade from memory.

Great article, agree 100%
The industry as a whole is in a bad place now. Good opportunity for a company to bring actual good games to the market.
People,
Stop pre-ordering these games. This is your fault.
Make the companies feel like they have to actually make a good product BEFORE they get your money.
Sheesh. Its not that hard.

As much as I love the core loop and feel of Anthem, you’re absolutely right. A clear example that Ubi learned a LOT from Division 1, whereas it seems like Bioware didn’t learn a thing from the pratfalls of Destiny 1/2 and Division 1.
I think a key difference here lies in the general mindset of Ubisoft and EA. EA is quick to shutdown studios when they deem their games as “failing to meet expectations.” Look at literally all the studios they’ve shuttered, including the cancellation of single-player DLC for ME Andromeda. Ubisoft, on the other hand, allow their studios to keep iterating. Rainbow Six Siege is a tremendous example of this. Ubisoft allowed that game to turn around. EA would have simply shut it down.
Ubi is generally known in the industry as a “good guy” when it comes to their people. Even when they do shut down games or studios, or do layoffs, they usually don’t do them until they’ve helped find a new home for the affected folks. A lot of big publishers could learn a lesson or two from the way Ubi treats its people.
