Ninjala Gets A Rurouni Kenshin Event - ninjala characters in character costumes

Ninjala, the free to play bubblegum battler, is about to step back in time with a newly announced Rurouni Kenshin event.

GungHo Online Entertainment kicked off Ninjala’s 8th season of activity with some major announcements yesterday. During a developer diary which you can watch below, the team behind this cartoon brawler announced a raft of updates, including a Rurouni Kenshin crossover. Coming oiff tha back of a huge Demon Slayer tie in, this anime interaction begins on 15 December and will allow players to take on the attire of a legendary swordsman, like Kenshin Himura, Hajime Saito, or Aoshi Shinomori, and draw your sword with Ninja-Gums styled after their weapons. Players can also pick up emotes, IPPON Decorations, Gum Utsusemi, and more based on the best-selling series. As well as picking up prizes for participation in the wider game, the Rurouni Kenshin Cup is a six hour marathon, kicking off on 10 January and offering plenty of additional drops for fending off as many foes as possible.

For those that haven’t caught Rurouni Kenshin over on your local streaming platform, then there are plenty of upcoming activities to get excited about. The latest season is already live and between now and 9 March 2022, players can indulge in a new animal theme. New Gum Weapons and Shinobi Cards are available in the Shinobi Shop, while a new 4-on-4 Turf Match and new Year campaign are just a couple of the additions. If the lure of 100 Gumball Machine Coins for logging in ver the new year isn’t enough to get involved, then the new Ninjala Anime means you don’t even need to turn on your Nintendo Switch to chew some gum. Starting January 2022, fans can watch Berecca, Burton, and the WNA Academy students take on action-packed Ninja-Gum battles, featuring an opening theme song from Japanese pop singer Kyary Pamyu Pamyu, “Maybe Baby,” and an ending theme song from Wolpis Carter, “Ninja like ninja.” As you would expect, this also means more Gumball Machine codes, alternative outfits for the in game characters, and new shop promotions.
