PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds Banned Accounts Being Fixed

PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS

Today we saw an issue with one of the biggest battle royale games on Steam, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds. Players innocent of anything were randomly banned from playing PUBG after they had finished the match they were in. With over twenty-two pages of people and counting alerting the company to the issue, they finally released a statement on Twitter.

As you can see they have identified the issue and resolved it. Anyone who has been banned incorrectly will have their ban lifted shortly and will once again be able to play the battle royale game. This is a sigh of relief for those people with friends who they wanted to play a game with and couldn’t.

PUBG is an online Battle Royale game developed and published by PUBG Corporation, a subsidiary of publisher Bluehole. The game is based on previous mods that were created by Brendan “PlayerUnknown” Greene for other games using the film Battle Royale for inspiration and expanded into a standalone game under Greene’s creative direction. In the game, up to one hundred players parachute onto an island and scavenge for weapons and equipment to kill others while avoiding getting killed themselves. The available safe area of the game’s map decreases in size over time, directing surviving players into tighter areas to force encounters. The last player or team standing wins the round.
