Though there is a lot of truth in the phrase “You get what you pay for!”, there are those times when you purchase something that exceeds expectations. The Mpow 059 Bluetooth headset is just that, a headset with a low price point that exceeds my expectations. This is our review of the MPow 059 Bluetooth Headset.

Typically, I have found that cheap headsets from Amazon, eBay, and wish tend to be on the lower spectrum of the quality control stick. These are well a happy exception, delivering a quality audio experience and so far have not let me down. The build quality appears and feels durable while the headband leaves a bit to be desired. My past experience with the hard plastic shell on headbands usually results in spider cracking and failure due to stretching and twisting. So far they have lived up durability wise as they have been in my backpack and found my children running around with them against my wishes of course.
I also found the headphones to be fairly comfortable. They’re lightweight thanks to all that plastic which makes them a good fit if you’re planning on wearing them for long periods of time.
The Mpow Headphones main feature, of course, is their Bluetooth connectivity and have managed very well. Easily paired with both my Smartphone as well as my PC with little effort. Range seems to be roughly 30ft and allows me the freedom to move about and make many visits to my fridge for liquid fuel. These also feature the ability to use 3.5mm connection when the batteries run out, though rarely do I find the need to use it.
This brings me to my next point: battery life! This is another area that exceeded my expectations, the battery life seems to go on and on. I have had to charge only a handful of times and they maintain a charge quite well.
Final Thoughts
Overall I would conclude that the Mpow 059 headset is a good purchase at its price point. If you are looking for a low-cost pair of Bluetooth headphones that can deliver decent sound and continue to work even when the batteries run out, then check them out.
