Pathfinder Developer Owlcat Games Teases What Is Next

Owlcat Games, the development studio behind Pathfinder: Kingmaker and Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous, is hinting at the next project with a new teaser site. Promising a new adventure, it shows a stunning image of space, leading fans to believe the next game from the studio will be set in the Starfinder setting.

Meanwhile, the studio is also working on the major DLC#3 for Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous that will feature an infinite dungeon like the Tenebrous Depths in Pathfinder: Kingmaker – Beneath the Stolen Lands. It is expected to arrive in July. But if even that is not enough Pathfinder content for you, Owlcat Games will also be releasing the Enhanced Edition and the first DLC from the new Season Pass #2 in Fall. You can find out more here.

However, the new teaser site is not the only hint at things to come. In the Owlcat Games subreddit, the community managers have been dropping off vague teases, presented as a cropped off image and a bit of cryptic text.

Check out the tread on Youtube and Reddit, stating that the kingdom is saved, and the Worldwound is closed. Golarion is safe. For now. What’s next?

“An ancient world with a riven heart. Find the path to it – and its riches will be yours! But paths there are two, and both will cloak you in disgrace, and neither is what it seems…”

There is also pixelated image that the developers urge players not to “use Photoshop to try and uncover our secrets” and, finally, another cropped image stating “All relationships are based on mutual trust. Including business.”.

So, what is it? New DLC for Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous? New Pathfinder or Starfinder game? Something new entirely? A couple of different projects?? Stay tuned to find out when the developers are ready to share.
