TinyTrinket Games, the developers of squad-based tactical RPG Zoria: Age of Shattering, have shared a series of dev diaries to give players a glimpse of what’s going on behind the scenes and introduce some gameplay elements.
The first part focuses on the developers themselves and features a little backstory on the studio’s first steps in the gaming industry. Originally, Zoria was supposed to be a mobile game. However, one thing led to another and soon the team moved from 2D mobile project to a 2D + 3D characters and free-roaming combat.
Diary #2 is titled “Let’s talk about the Stats!” and offers players a look at some stats, armor and attack types in Zoria: Age of Shattering. There are a lot of mechanics in the game that the team would like to cover so players have an idea of what awaits them.
The main stats include: Stamina, Strength, Agility, Intellect, Armor and Magic Armor. Meanwhile, secondary stats are Initiative, Hit Chance and Crit Chance. Characters also have a number of Elemental Resistances, one for each type of elemental magic available in the game. Characters can also induce or be affected by a whole number of status effects such as poison, curse, bleed and more.
The third and currently the latest dev diary showcases the Kingdom of Nulbarak and the locations players will visit while exploring it such as the Lonely Tower. Are you prepared to tackle the mysteries it contains?
