Studio HoYoverse, the developers of the Honkai: Star Rail and Zenless Zone Zero, are preparing for the arrival of Genshin Impact version 3.1: King Deshret and the Three Magi. The update will land on September 28, bringing along a new desert region of Sumeru, a number of new characters such as Cyno and Candace and more. The pre-installation function is now available.
Previously, the team introduced players to the Electro polearm user Cyno in the teaser trailer titled “A Just Punishment”. Cyno, Judicator of Secrets, serves as the General Mahamatra in charge of supervising the researchers of the Akademiya. It is said that when he gets down to work, the General Mahamatra is even more efficient than the “Great Vayuvyastra” made by the Kshahrewar.
The latest character demo is dedicated to Candace, a 4* Hydro polearm user coming in the update. It is titled the “Shield of Sworn Protector” and showcases Candace’s approach to combat. Aaru villagers often say that Candace is the village’s strongest line of defense, just like that blessed shield of hers. But Candace knows that apart from being a useful weapon, there really is nothing special about her shield. What’s more important is the determination she puts in when the shield is raised. Additionally, the developers have shared the version update maintenance preview. The Genshin Impact servers are expected to be under maintenance for around 5 hours with the update beginning on September 28 06:00 (UTC+8). Don’t forget to claim your maintenance primogems in-game!
