Developer Maxis and publisher Electronic Arts have announced that The Sims 4 base game will be available to all new players for free on PC/Mac via Origin, Steam, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One beginning on October 18.
Players can learn more about what’s in the works during a special-edition stream, Behind The Sims Summit on October 18 at 10 am PDT via The Sims YouTube and Twitch channels.
Simmers who have purchased The Sims 4 base game by October 17 will receive the Desert Luxe Kit as a gift. Desert Luxe Kit allows Sims to soak up the sun and relax in their own modern oasis. Experience luxurious indoor/outdoor pieces, by arranging neutral toned furniture, curtains and more to create a bright, sophisticated space for Sims to entertain.
Kits are bite-size packs that open big possibilities for players by adding more style, more flavor, more choice with the new mini-collections. They were introduced for the first time with the addition of Throwback, Country Kitchen, and Bust the Dust kits back in March 2021.
