Ubisoft Montreal has announced that it is taking over the development of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake. In 2021, the original developers announced that the game was being delayed until fiscal 2023. However, according to yesterday’s tweet, Ubi-Montreal will be regrouping to bring the game out “when it’s ready”. What that means exactly remains to be seen. It’s quite possible this may mean yet another delay in the keenly anticipated title.

The now-troubled game remake was originally announced in September 2020 for release in January 2021. However, it has since experienced delays and difficulties some of which stem from the COVID 19 pandemic. We’ll keep you posted as we learn more about the game’s future.
