Developer Blizzard Entertainment released the major update Guardians of the Dream, bringing World of Warcraft: Dragonflight to version 10.2. Players are in for the continuation of the main story, a new zone, new raid and so much more. To give the defenders of the Dream a quick overview of all the new additions, the team shared a trailer narrated by Kelani – you can find it below.
The large additions such as the new zone are joined by smaller updates. The patch also added new Blood Elf customization, Dragonriding updates, class talent updates for Rogues & Demon Hunters and more. Dragonflight Season 3 arrives the week of November 14 to deliver an updated Mythic+ rotation.
“Heroes of Azeroth, stand as one against Fyrakk. Defend the Emerald Dream zone, take part in Superbloom public events, protect The World Tree Amirdrassil in a new raid, and more!”
Additionally, developers outlined improvements to the upgrade system and revealed the contents of the Trading Post for November.
- Increase the Length of the Hero and Myth Tracks – In Dragonflight Season 3, the Hero track will be six upgrade levels long, letting players upgrade their gear up to Hero 6/6. The Mythic track will go to 4.
- Put PvP Gear Into the Upgrade System – PvP activity will now allow players to get Flightstones and Crests. Currently players pay an opportunity cost with their PvE advancement any time they play PvP. The devs wanted to change that.
- No More Extra Inventory Space Used – For Season 3 and beyond, players will instead collect Crests as a currency in their currency tab. Players won’t need to deal with Crests taking up extra inventory in their bags anymore.
- Crest Cap Update – In Dragonflight Season 3, players will be able to earn 90 Crests per week of each type.
