A Plague Tale: Innocence Comes to PS5 & Xbox Series On July 6

Asobo Studio and Focus Home Interactive have revealed that action-adventure A Plague Tale: Innocence will be arriving on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on July 6th. The enhanced version will feature 4K UHD (only on Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5), 60 FPS, and 3D audio support.

Also on July 6, A Plague Tale: Innocence will release on the Nintendo Switch system for the first time. The game will be available as a cloud version, allowing players to pick it up digitally and play using cloud streaming technology.

ABOUT A PLAGUE TALE: INNOCENCE

Follow the grim tale of young Amicia and her little brother Hugo, in a heartrending journey through the darkest hours of history. Hunted by Inquisition soldiers and surrounded by unstoppable swarms of rats, Amicia and Hugo will come to know and trust each other. As they struggle to survive against overwhelming odds, they will fight to find purpose in this brutal, unforgiving world.

1349. The plague ravages the Kingdom of France. Amicia and her younger brother Hugo are pursued by the Inquisition through villages devastated by the disease. On their way, they will have to join forces with other children, and evade swarms of rats using fire and light. Aided only by the link that binds their fates together, they will face untold horrors in their struggle to survive. As their adventure begins… the time of innocence ends.

A Plague Tale: Requiem

Additionally, the team has been on hand during E3 2021 to reveal A Plague Tale: Requiem, the sequel to Innocence. Follow Hugo and Amicia on a new epic adventure!

The heart-rending story of Hugo and Amicia’s struggle for survival in a dark, plague-ridden medieval world will continue in 2022 on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC. The game will be available at launch on Xbox Game Pass for Consoles and PC. A Plague Tale: Requiem will also be released on Nintendo Switch using Nintendo’s Cloud Streaming technology.
