The BlizzCon 2017 has yet to start, yet the Blizzard community is filled with rumours and leaks. In addition, Chinese Heroes of the Storm site let a picture of WoW’s Red Dragon Queen Alexstrasza and Overwatch’s enigmatic archer Hanzo slip. It had been quickly taken down, but what has been seen by the Internet cannot be un-seen.
About Heroes of the Storm:
The game is Blizzard Entertainment’s entry into the MOBA genre. Players are able to choose from a roster of heroes. These characters are taken straight from other Blizzard games such as World of Warcraft, Diablo 3, Starcraft and Overwatch.
Players begin the game by choosing a hero that fulfils a specific role: Warrior, Assassin, Specialist or Support. There are a variety of maps, each with their own objectives. Players work in teams of five to destroy the enemy core. Characters level by taking down enemy heroes, destroying structures and completing objects (i.e. capturing mercenaries, etc.). Experience is shared among all players.
The game modes are Training, Against AI, Quick Match, League of Heroes, Command League, Non-Ranked, Custom Game and Brawl. HotS also features daily quests that require a specific hero type to complete or to play/win a certain number of games.
