Baldur’s Gate 3 triumphant arrival is happening today. To prepare players for all possible release hardships, developer Larian Studios shared the launch guide on the game’s Steam page. It is mostly aimed at those who have played the Early Access version of the game, but new players might find some useful tips as well.
“Many of you have been playing Baldur’s Gate 3 since the start of Early Access, all the way back in 2020. You may have accumulated a backlog of old save games, or even a few mods along the way. Even if you’re a first-time player, there’s information here that will be useful to you. To make sure you’re prepared for the journey ahead, we strongly recommend you take the following steps before venturing forth.”

- Delete your in-game Early Access save files;
- Uninstall the Early Access version of the game;
- Delete installed mods. Make sure they are not automatically re-downloaded;
- Install BG3 on an SSD;
- Update your graphics card drivers;
- Refer to the launch FAQ once it’s out.
