HoYoverse just unveiled a new character teaser for money loving CEO, Nicole. The latest animated preview is a dive into the character’s past and what drives this cold-hearted cheapskate. This comes just weeks after a combat teaser for the character and comes as another reminder that the upcoming adventure in new Eridu is nothing like the other titles from this massive studio.
Aside from the obvious aesthetic differences and irreverent tone, I don’t think I’ve seen the Adepti be quite so obsessed with shiny metal trinket, probably. Nicole is the leader of the Cunning hares, a group of mercs used to trawling dangerous voids in reality known as Hollows. The pink haired boss lady might initially seem like a light hearted anime trope, but it’s soon evident that this heart warming introduction is really all about the numbers.
Both Nicole, Amber, and Billy are just one team of potential playable characters in HoYo’s upcoming action combat title. Players assembling a force to go raid the Hollows in this familiar urban future will find themselves wielding a range of powerful abilities, and unloading fast paced attacks in a corrupted environment. We’ve already had great things to say about the feel of this title and can’t wait to see the final result when the free to play title launches across PC and mobile in 2024.
