Conan Exiles: Age of War Update Offers Big Improvements and a Free Week's Play

Funcom has announced that Conan Exiles has received the massive Age of War update that brings big things to the game. Players can look forward to many improvements throughout the game, including massive combat tweaks. All this comes alongside a free week of play for those who have yet to play the game or for veterans hoping to see what’s new. PC players can take on Robert E. Howard’s barbaric world for free through Friday, June 30th.

Developers are excited about everything included in the Age of War update. To showcase their hard work, the team released a new trailer that offers a peek into the bloody new world.

Age of War

  • Combat improvements will be more rewarding thanks to updated enemy balance. Stamina costs have been revised to “improve the ebb and flow of combat.” Lastly, players can expect a new item repair system and tweaks to the stun system.
  • As players plunder the land, they can bring treasures back to their bases to be displayed with honor. These new placeable trophies can be put anywhere, though they come with the caveat that some are easier to move than others. Treasurers will add each treasure to the tally which can be used in later Chapters.
  • Clans can now create emblems. Teams can choose from several symbols and backgrounds. These new emblems can be displayed on banners, shields, armor, and more.
