Developer HoYoverse shared the brand-new character teaser to introduce Xianyun, the latest 5-star character arriving to join the roster of Genshin Impact. This stylish adeptus arrives just in time for the Lantern Rite, hitting in Version 4.4. She will be joined by another new character: a 4-star Pyro Claymore Gaming.
“Just as people expect reciprocity in their relations, so do the adepti. If you’re short of a gift to thank Xianyun for her kindness, then perhaps stopping for a chat might do instead?”
The trailer is presented as a couple of stories shared by Cloud Retainer’s disciples, Ganyu and Shenhe, about their Master. Their recollections paint her as a smart and kind, if somewhat conflicted, person. Zhongli joins in on sharing the memories. He speaks of the time when Xianyun was revered as a bold and decisive figure.
She is one of the Mighty and Illuminated Adepti of Jueyun, known as “Cloud Retainer.” Expert in all kinds of mechanical contraptions, her heart now turns towards the affairs of the mortal world, through which she walks under the name “Xianyun.” She is a support character who can provide continuous healing. She also aids powerful Plunging Attacks for her teammates.
But what is she really like when one gets the chance to know her better? Worry not, you will get a chance to find out for yourself very soon! Xianyun’s first banner arrives in Version 4.4 Phase I, featuring the lady herself as well as another newcomer: Gaming.
