Developer HoYoverse shared the latest character teaser for a new hero joining the roster of Genshin Impact. Meet Wriothesley, the Duke of Fortress of Meropide. Those who have played through the latest Archon Quest might have already seen the Duke in action.
As an organization independent from the Court of Fontaine, responsibility for output at the Fortress of Meropide lies solely with its administrator. Naturally, the Duke is very clear as to which procedures are of little consequence and which must be executed personally.
Wriothesleyis a 5-star Cryo Catalyst character skilled in melee attacks. His Arkhe is Ousia.
His Normal and Charged attcks can both deal Cryo damage. After using his Elemental Skill, he will enter the special state that increases his resistance to interruption. If his HP is relatively high at the time, his Normal attacks that hit opponents will cause him to lose HP to increase damage. When his HP is relatively low, his Charged attacks will be enhanced to allow him to regain HP after hitting opponents with them.
After using his Elemental Burst, he will deal multiple instances of AoE Cryo damage to opponents in front of him.
Wriothesley’s banner is coming in the second half of Version 4.1. Venti’s rerun will accompany the duke. That means that the weapon banner will feature their respective 5-star signature weapons. Stay tuned to find out more about the contents of the banners once HoYo is ready to share!
