League of Legends: Wild Rift Shares Plans for 2024

The team behind mobile experience League of Legends: Wild Rift shared the dev update trailer dedicated to all the cool stuff coming to the MOBA in 2024. Join Andrei “Meddler” van Roon, Head of League Studio, for the Wild Rift 2024 outlook on the League ecosystem, Arcane Season 2, and other news!

In addition to gameplay, the developers also want to bring players richer experiences out of the game. A part of that is the studio’s new approach to storytelling. The team felt like characters and lore across different games weren’t always cohesive. There were certain inconsistencies in important details which makes it harder to really invest into Runeterra. All future storytelling in the League of Legends universe will be part of one shared canon in an effort to fix this. It will help the team create thematically richer experiences.

The devs also mentioned the upcoming Arcane Season 2 and the characters it will expand upon. Among them, the Noxian warlord Abessa Medarda who will become a permanent champion in Wild Rift. The last Wild Rift patch of the year will be heavily focused on Arcane Season 2, so keep your eyes peeled for more info!
