Prison Architect 2 will unlock across PC and consoles on 26 March 2024.
Prepare to do some more time with a new incarnation of a fantastic management sim. Paradox Interactive and Double Eleven confirmed that the prison management sim, Prison Architect, is getting a follow up. This time around, wardens can use deeper simulation, greater player control, an inhabitant behavior system and creative options to get up close and personal in a fully 3D correctional institution.
The team running this new development released a trailer ahead of the launch, giving us a look at what’s coming to the second in this slammer series. The new Prison Architect incorporates a high degree of creative freedom in a 3D environment. From building elaborate structures to managing inmates’ needs while maintaining the facility’s financial stability. While you’ll monetize the space you have available, new tools mean everything from daily schedules to policies, and the overall aesthetic of your cells is changeable.
Of course, it’s not all about the amenities. Inmates have their own ideas and expectations. The sequel will dive into the relationships between inmates. They now form distinct relationships that influence behavior, make decisions based on wants and needs, and plot their paths better than ever.
With a new shiny look, more impactful decisions, and more Prison Architect 2 is looking to be a breakout hit. If you loved the likes of Let’s School and Two Point Campus check out the official Steam page now.
