SpellBreak is Closing Servers Till Spring 2020

The developers of magic-based Battle Royale SpellBreak have taken to Reddit to announce the upcoming server downtime originally mentioned in the Closed Beta 1 roadmap.

  • Spellbreak servers are temporarily going offline beginning January 3rd. While we initially planned to shut the servers down in mid-December, we wanted to give you all a little extra time to play over the holidays.
  • Servers will be returning in Spring 2020, date to be announced.

“Why are we going offline? The short answer is that it gives us time to focus, plan, and develop before Closed Beta 2. Live operations can add restraints to how quickly we can iterate on new features and implement player feedback.”

“We will also be concentrating on marketing and community programs, which will bring Spellbreak to a larger audience across the world. Together, we will also be able to improve our community programs as well as add new ones, so let’s keep the conversation going about Spellbreak, what you’d like to see, and what you are most excited about!”

The developers from Proletariat have also announced that the game is not coming to PAX East, but the team is planning some community events for players to take a part in while visiting the convention.
