Get Your Glowsticks when you trick and treat this season as Green Tile Digital release Strobophagia: Rave Horror in time for Halloween
Developed by the aforementioned Sweedish indie Studio, Strobophagia: Rave Horror is not exactly the traditional jump scare experience that we’ve come to expect from Halloween entertainment. Instead, this very different twist for the scary season is full of neon shapes and some incredible EDM beats. Featuring a wide range of original EDM tunes, including trance, house, techno, and more, the title seems to uniquely blend these synth vibes with a blood-curdling rave experience.

As a raver in search of the ultimate freedom of expression, players find themselves at the Headless Rave festival. This seemingly carefree carnival of exuberance might initially look like a recognisable mash-up of heady beats, fluorescent body paint, and drunkenness but there’s a dark undertone too. At the last minute, the organises announce that admission comes at the cost of one’s own life. Players must progress through this strange activity while sinister beings threaten them in the shadows and their sanity slowly slips away.
“The team at Green Tile Digital has been eating, sleeping, and breathing rave culture ever since we began work on Strobophagia,” says Ben Clarke, CEO. “We can’t wait for horror and EDM fans to put on a pair of headphones and immerse themselves in the kaleidoscope of horrors we’ve prepared for them. We guarantee the Headless Rave Festival will be a party to die for.”
This might not quite be the Dead by Daylight experience many are expecting during Haloween but that’s exactly why I’m booking my ticket. To get a glimpse of the rave, head over to the official itch.io website, check out the trailer above, or grab the free demo before it hits PC on 28 October.
