Blizzard’s MMORPG World of Warcraft just received major update Embers of Neltharion and kicked off Dragonflight Season 2. But the developers don’t intend to stop there! The team has taken to the official site to remind players of the upcoming content via the roadmap you can find above and by sharing an early look at what will be introduced with Fractures in Time.
Now that Embers of Neltharion are positively sizzling, Dragonflight is in another update arriving this Summer. It will offer new mega-dungeon Dawn of the Infinite, new Evoker spec: Augmentation, new public event, questlines and dailies, dragonriding event, warlock race updates & pet customization and more! Let’s dive in and look closer at every point.
New Mythic-only Mega-Dungeon: Dawn of the Infinite will feature eight bosses that will take players across the timeways to prevent Nozdormu’s transformation into Murozond. You’ll face Iridikron, among others, as you work to sustain Azeroth’s timeline and put things to rights once more.
New Evoker DPS Spec: Augmentation will become available immediately with the release of the Fractures in Time Update. The playstyle for this new specialization involves empowering your allies with a variety of beneficial effects. Some can be cast directly on your allies, while others are tied to using your damage-dealing abilities effectively. They act as force multipliers, increasing their group’s capabilities (and damage output) significantly.
New public event: Time Rifts. As the boundaries between the timelines weaken, minions from other timelines have begun making their way into Azeroth. Join other players to take on Time Rifts, push back against the waves of minions, and plug the hole to set the timeways straight again.
New repeatable content: Eon’s Fringe. Work to settle the timeways and solve the problems brought about by their instability while reaping the rewards of a job well done.
Whelp Daycare. You’ll guide five dragon whelps as they grow and learn about the dragon flights, earn Renown, and more.
Warlock Class Update. Warlock class will become available to Night Elves, Draenei, Lightforged Draenei, Pandaren, Kul Tiran, Tauren, Highmountain Tauren, Mag’har Orcs, and Zandalari Trolls. Warlocks will also be able to unlock a new imp pet customization.
Beyond the Fractures in Time
Blizzard also shed light on what is coming further beyond, after patch 10.1.5. In Fall 2023, players can expect to receive new story and quests, holiday refresh and even content & system updates in a minor patch.
However, at a later point Dragonflight will receive another major update with the following additions:
- New zone & story content;
- New Raid;
- New open world challenges;
- New Renown track & activities;
- New PvP Season;
- New Mythic+ Dungeon Pool;
- New content and features.
Stay tuned to find out more!
