With a bit over a month until the release of the sequel to A Plague Tale: Innocence, developer Asobo Studios and publisher Focus Entertainment continue revealing more information about the game. Previously the team unveiled the gameplay overview and showed off the stunning Collector’s Edition for A Plague Tale: Requiem.
Having escaped their devastated homeland, the siblings travel far south to the new regions and vibrant cities to start a new life and control Hugo’s curse. But, when Hugo’s powers reawaken, death and destruction return in a flood of devouring rats. Forced to flee once more, Amicia and Hugo place their hopes in a prophesized island that may hold the key to saving Hugo. Discover the cost of saving those you love in a desperate struggle for survival. Strike from the shadows or unleash hell, overcoming foes and challenges with a variety of weapons, tools and unearthly powers.
This time the developers give players a chance to sneak a peek behind the scenes: the team shared a couple of videos titled From Pen to Pixel and Stealth respectively. As comes from the names, the first video tackles how the game’s scenery comes to life from a piece of concept art to a finished location. Meanwhile, the second video stresses the importance of stealth:
“Furtivity is a guarantee of safety.
Your foes won’t see you coming from the shadows… but rats might.”
A Plague Tale: Requiem arrives on October 18 on PS5, Xbox Series and PC. Check out the official site to learn more about it.
