EA and Respawn have introduced an all-new event into Apex Legends with the arrival of the Celestial Sunrise Collection Event. The Lunar New Year event will kick off on January 24th, run through February 7th, and bring a new LTM Hardcore Royale to challenge players’ skills to the highest degree. In addition, several new cosmetics are coming, including the Jadeite REtribution Reactive Peacekeeper skin and many more.
The Celestial Sunrise Collection Event includes:
- Hardcore Royale LTM – The latest limited-time mode gives players a chance to show themselves as a Legend among Legends, with limited HUD, a ring that starts at max damage, no EVO Armor or helmets, no armor swapping and, above all, no mercy.
- Event Items – Players can see themselves in a whole new light with the chance to unlock 24 limited-time cosmetics, including Legendary skins for Octane, Pathfinder, Caustic, Ash and more. Additional items can be earned with the event’s rewards track, and players who unlock all 24 cosmetics before the event is over will receive “Jadeite Retribution”, a new Reactive Peacekeeper Skin.
Players can keep an eye on unlocking rewards through the latest track update.

Following the conclusion of Celestial Sunrise on Feb 7th, we’re kicking off a fun LTM called Date Night. It’s time to queue up with that special someone and become the cutest couple.
Date Night includes a new healing mechanic exclusive to the takeover. Using any healing item will show an area around your Legend. If your Duos partner is in the area when you finish the heal, they’ll also receive the effects of the item! Heal your partner to spread the love, and don’t forget to say thank you!
Date Night also includes a Limited Time Weapon, The Heart Stealer. This is a romantic variant of the Bocek, which heals you a percentage of the damage you do. Just like Healing items; any healing from the bow is also given to your Partner if they’re close by!
