Larian Studios, the developers of the turn-based cRPG Baldur’s Gate 3 currently available in Steam Early Access, shared the long-awaited news. Mark your calendars: the latest Panel from Hell will take place on July 7! Tune in around 10 AM Pacific to learn what’s coming in Patch 8 – and don’t forget, Shadowheart disapproves.
“Ready for more patch notes? Swen isn’t.”
What can we possibly expect from Patch 8? To have a clear idea of what a large BG3 patch entails, let’s take a look at Patches 6 & 7 respectively.
- Patch 6: Forging the Arcane introduced new Grymforge region, the Sorcerer class with two unique subclasses Wild Magic and Draconic Bloodline; new weapon actions, massive graphical overhaul and much more.
- Patch 7: Absolute Frenzy added a new Barbarian Class with two Subclasses – Berserker and Wildheart in addition to HUD UI overhaul, brand-new Character Sheets, search filters, Thrown Weapons, new music & animations.
Seeing the previous additions, it seems likely that the new patch will introduce a new class in addition to a variety of bug fixes, enhancements and another hairdo swap for Minthara and Karlach. Place your bets – Paladin or Bard or something else or nothing at all? – and stay tuned to find out more.
