Focus Entertainment shared the gameplay overview trailer for the narrative-driven action-RPG Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden. You play a couple of Banishers, Antea Duarte and Red Mac Raith, experienced spirit hunters, sent to New Eden to lift a mysterious curse and solve haunting cases. Battle supernatural forces combining Antea’s spiritual powers and Red’s arsenal.
The events of the game take place in 1695. Our protagonists, Antea Duarte and Red Mac Raith, are lovers and Banishers that vowed to protect the living from the ghosts. Following a disastrous last mission, Antea is fatally wounded, becoming one of the spirits she loathes. In the haunted wilds of North America, the couple desperately searches for a way to liberate Antea from her new plight.
Players will have to make tough decisions, dramatically impacting your story and the fate of New Eden’s inhabitants—be they living people or wandering souls. With Antea now being a ghost herself, will you honor your Banisher oath or sacrifice the living in a desperate bid to bring your beloved back?
