Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III Headed to Release in November

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III Headed to Release in November

Activision has some big news gleaned from a brand new trailer that officially teases out Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III and it’s coming much sooner than you may think. In the trailer, viewers are treated to a brief peek at the game that is currently being touted for a November 10th release date. The narrator ominously says that “the ultimate threat awaits” and, according to Polygon, this hints at the return of a classic CoD villain, Vladimir Markarov.

While less than a minute long, the video showcases a very pixelated and stylized image of Makarov’s face. Makarov hearkens back nearly 15 years to 2009’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 when Russian terrorists murdered civilians at a Moscow airport.

The video also has a fun twist for viewers. A phone number offers them a chance to send a text. The return response says:

*** COMMS SECURED ***

major conflict incoming. a lot of opportunity.

we need someone like you, with experience in al mazrah

are you able to receive sensitive intel

yes / no

[upon responding yes]

good

expect mission critical intel. a taste of what’s to come

Alongside the message is this image, seemingly teasing out a location for the upcoming game.

There really isn’t much more to the teaser than that. However, developers have confirmed that the August Warzone limited time event will reveal more about CoD:MW3. The event takes place on August 17th.
