As part of today’s Nintendo Direct, Bandai Namco announced that there will be a Network Test (beta) for the upcoming Dark Souls: Remastered release. That test is expected this spring, and it’ll be on PS4 and XB1 as well. Additionally, Nintendo announced the Solaire of Astora amiibo, which will grant the Praise the Sun gesture right from the get-go.

The DARK SOULS: REMASTERED network test will be available for the PlayStation 4 system, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. This free network test will give players the ability to play a part of DARK SOULS: REMASTERED prior to its launch and test the game’s unique online features. More information regarding the DARK SOULS: REMASTERED network test will be available soon.
On May 25, 2018, Nintendo Switch fans can harness the power of the sun with the Solaire of Astora amiibo figure, available exclusively at participating GameStop locations in the United States. By tapping this amiibo on the Joy-Con™ or Nintendo Switch Pro Controller, the popular “Praise the Sun” gesture can be used with reckless abandon from the start of the game (gesture can also be obtained through regular game play). The Solaire of Astora amiibo carries a MSRP of $15.99.
