The developers from Blizzard Entertainment are actively preparing for the imminent launch of Diablo II: Resurrected, an ambitious remaster of the company’s classic. To help players better understand the state of Sanctuary, the team put together a brief timeline of the tug-of-war between the High Heavens and the Burning Hells and the chaotic events sparked by this strife.
The blog post goes through the Eternal Conflict between the High Heavens and the Burning Hells, the great Sin War, the Dark Exile and the Horadrim, the Darkening of Tristram in the original Diablo and, finally, the return of the Evil – the story of the Dark Wanderer.
