Disney Speedstorm Races Towards a 2022 Release

Disney Speedstorm

During last week’s D23 Expo 2022, Gameloft, Disney, and Pixar Games announced Disney Speedstorm. The upcoming F2P racing game will feature Disney and Pixar characters galore in a combat racing game. While we don’t have an exact release date, developers indicated that it will be coming out in 2022. Players will be able to participate across several platforms, including PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC. The PC version will be available through Steam, Epic Games Store, as well as the Microsoft Store. Players can already add the game to their wishlists on both Steam and Epic Games Store.

The game was announced with a terrific peek into the action players will face. Viewers get a look at environments and some pretty darned familiar faces. Monsters Inc. fans will rejoice in the setting and in seeing Mike, Sully, Randall, and other familiar characters including Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Megara, Ariel, Jack Sparrow, and more.

Features include:

  • Disney and Pixar characters with individual stats and unique skills. Jack Sparrow, Mulan, Mickey Mouse, Sully, the Beast, and more are ready for racing combat.
  • Arcade racing redefined: Anyone can pick the game up but it will be difficult to master. There are skills and techniques to master to dominate each race.
  • Solo or local/remote multiplayer modes are available to challenge all comers. Players can even race others from around the world to become an online legend.
  • Disney and Pixar-inspired racetracks with environments from some favorites including Pirates of the Caribbean, Jungle Book, Mulan, Monsters Inc., and more.
  • Racers can be customized in their favorite suits, kart livery, stylish wheels and wings, and many other ways.
  • A constant flow of new content thanks to seasonal play. New characters will be added regularly as well as new tracks, and strategies. Support characters, environments, customization options, and collectibles will also be added regularly.
