Fallout 76 Devs Take a Look Back at the Year That Was

The Fallout 76 official site has been updated with a lengthy new post from the Bethesda development team that takes a look back at all of the updates and events that took place in the game throughout 2021. Fans can take a walk down memory lane to remind them how far the game has come in the last 365 days.

2021 has been another great year of evolution and growth for Fallout 76. Whether you were excited to try out quality-of-life improvements, head into Fallout Worlds, conquer new quests, hit Rank 100 each Season, or anything in between, this year brought something new to the game for everyone. All of you in the Fallout 76 community have our sincere gratitude for sticking with us for another twelve incredible months, and for continuing to call Appalachia “home,” even though you may live thousands of miles away from the region in real life. As you read on, you’ll catch an overview of new features and improvements we introduced this year, as well as highlights of your contributions to the community. 

Some of the year’s major highlights include:

  • an inventory facelift
  • major upgrades for core features such as CAMP slots, SPECIAL loadouts, and Daily Ops
  • the return of the Brotherhood complete with new quests and legendary crafting
  • players escaped the 42nd century with KD Inkwell
  • Fallout Worlds, handcrafted public worlds with unique rulesets, offered new ways to play
  • Mothman flew back into the game for Halloween fun
  • a celebration of the community
